Sometimes it's about making some presence. While I cannot make a change with a fell swoop of my arm, I can at least provide my own input. My own impact. Just a single motion which could equate to an entire rippling effect that changes how people deal with things. With this reality, I decided to join my county Libertarian party. At first glance, it is a small group of people. You come in only to see them all talking and giving insights to state political matters that most people would not understand. They don't meet at some large Parthenon of splendor but simply a modest location that leaves us not having to pay as much for our venue. A local Applebees. I've had people tell me: "Maybe people will take you guys more seriously if you don't meet up at an Applebees."

I tell them: "Hey. It's 2 for 1 beers." To which that person immediately steps down from their argument and understand what a great idea it was to meet there. Regardless of the venue, the ideas are genuine. Everyone, more brilliant than I in their own way, offers their lifelong insight into the state political matters of the Libertarian party. I must say, I love it. I surround myself with like-minded ideologies and frankly, I love it.

While politics definitely isn't the way to go in discussion, it can be for me. I am always fascinated with people's political ideology. It then comes to the point of becoming active in what you believe in. Put your feet on the ground. Are you as big as you want to talk? You have ideas? Make it a reality. Nobody will be there to do it other than yourself. Such is the premise of the Libertarian party. I am my own keeper.
