Nearly four years after their last scheduled bout fell apart, Dominick Cruz andUrijah Faber will finally settle their trilogy at UFC 199 as they meet in the co-main event with the bantamweight title up for grabs.

The fight was announced as part of Friday's UFC "Unstoppable" press conference.

UFC 199 takes place on June 4 at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., with middleweight champion Luke Rockhold taking on former title holder Chris Weidman in the main event.

Cruz returned to action this past January, when he defeated TJ Dillashaw to become the bantamweight champion for the second time in his UFC career.

Injuries robbed Cruz of nearly four years of his career as well as a 2012 bout with Faber that was supposed to take place at UFC 148 in one of the biggest shows of the year. Unfortunately, Cruz blew out his knee and ended up in several surgeries as well as with another blown out knee before he finally returned to action recently.

Now Cruz will face Faber for a third time to bring their rivalry to a close.

Faber holds the only win over Cruz during his professional career after submitting him in the WEC in a 2007 featherweight title fight.

Faber fell to Cruz in a close decision in 2011 and now, after a long wait, he'll get the chance to settle the score while looking to become a UFC champion for the first time in his storied career.

"I wanted this fight because all I've had is those questions about Faber for the past three years when I've been hurt," Cruz said.

He added: "Everybody's pissed off because I'm the champion. Faber hates me, Dillashaw hates me, probably most of the division hates me. ... I'm excited to be the reason why he retires and why he'll never touch the UFC belt."
