UFC on FOX 19 live blog: Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres

is is the UFC on FOX 19 live blog for Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres, a strawweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.

Namajunas, who has won three of her past five fights, will face Torres, who is 7-0 in her career, on the main card.

Round 1: Co-main event is up. Pat Barry gives Namajunas an intense last-minute talk, gives her a kiss, and she climbs on the octagon. Both fighters meet in the middle of the cage. Not much action going on. Namajunas tries to establish her range by pumping out several jabs. Torres catches a kick and delivers a combination that gets the crowd going. Torres seems very comfortable and pushes forward. Namajunas tries to clinch Torres but gets caught by the "Tiny Tornado." Namajunas avoids further punishment and takes down Torres to end the round on top.

Round 2: Similar round here, but this time Namajunas takes control of the octagon. Both fighters have their moments and the crowd is loving it. Namajunas tries a flying kick and falls on the canvas. She gets back up. Two minutes remaining. Namajunas attempts a single leg takedown but gets stuffed by Torres. Many feints from both fighters. Torres is moving forward and trowing solid combinations. Both fighters very careful here. Last ten seconds and Namajunas clips Torres with a straight punch. She pushes Torres against the cage and unloads several punches on her.

Round 3: Final round and Namajunas comes out firing. She lands a few solid straight punches on Torres. Torres remains composed though and tries to fire back. Complete octagon control by Namajunas as she hovers in the center of the octagon. A lot of movement from Namajunas. Torres tries to land combinations but Namajunas keeps moving out of the way. Two minutes left. Not much action here. Both fighters strike but nothing solid lands. And Namajunas gets the takedown. That might just seal the round for Namajunas. Not many strikes are thrown by Namajunas, but she controls Torres against the cage. Unable to get up, Torres finishes the fight on bottom.
